I was delighted to see Hulu's Handmaid's Tale do so well. Elizabeth Moss won Best Actor as Offred and Anne Dowd won Best Supporting Actor for Aunt Lydia. As series 1 covered Margaret Atwood's entire novel I am curious how they will do series 2 for The Handmaid's Tale.
Oz actor Nicole Kidman also picked up an Emmy for a mini-series I have yet to view.
So, what are other people's thoughts on the Emmys this year ? :-)

I freely admit I never watch awards shows. I haven't heard of most of the shows, and I really hate all the politics. I watch TV to be entertained, not to be lectured to. </off soapbox>.
That said, I actually do know that Nicole Kidman won for Big Little Lies. I haven't seen it, but I've been meaning to read the book it was based on which was written by Liane Moriarty, an Australian author who also wrote "The Husband's Secret," "Three Wishes," and a bunch of other books that I haven't read yet. I highly recommend The Husband's Secret and Three Wishes though. And I've heard that Big Little Lies is also very good (better, in fact, than the adaptation).

I still recall watching Nicole Kidman in her breakthrough role as an Australian girl (this time) wrongfully arrested and tried for drug smuggling in 'Bangkok Hilton', an Oz. 1980s tv series. Thankyou, 'Bing Little Lies' is the name of the new series I hope to stream.

Seriously - check out some of Liane Moriarty's books. They're excellent.
