on Pemberley I began a discussion of the new Handmaid's Tale. Margaret Atwood created varied female characters in Offred, Offglen and 'Agony Aunt' Lydia who've translated into strong performances on-screen by women. Whilst awaiting the second season on The Handmaid's Tale I believe another Margaret Atwood book has been made into a tv series and based on a true story to be released for viewing at the end of 2017; Alias Grace set in 1840s' Canada about young Irish immigrant Grace Marks accused of the murder of her employer and a farmer's wife. Grace was sent into an asylum for 15 years and appears to have lost her memory. I checked out the trailer on you tube and golly, it looks as grim and compelling as The Handmaid's Tale. I wonder if any one has read Margaret Atwood's book Alias Grace or knows anything more about this tv production ? I am looking out for it. Thanks for any info.
