After more than 5 years in the making, this adaptation will be finally on screens in UK this Friday. Note aside. I wonder if the Sanditon adaptation will share a similar fate. Any news about when is premiering in USA? Apparently Netflix got distribution rights for USA and also Latin America, but I am not sure if that involves theatrical release or only streaming, but at least it means one way or the other it might come to my part of the world. Here is one of the first reviews: Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society Review at Hollywood Reporter

It will only be on Netflix in the USA starting on August 10th. I don't know about Canada or Mexico. I adored the book, and am really looking forward to the movie. I am seriously considering buying the UK version of the DVD (out soon, from what I gather) and not waiting for Netflix.

I watched the movie the other day (on the 10th itself, as a matter of fact), and I just loved it. I need to re-read the book and then watch the movie all over again.
